Dear students! Dear colleagues and partners of the University!

Ректор АРГУThe doors of Zhubanov University have been open for 80 years for young Zhubanov’s students, whose number is growing every year. In 2017 the number of students was 10664, then today the number of students has risen to 13332. The number of specialties has significantly increased.

In the 2018-2019 academic year, 5,000 people replenished the number of university students. Among them, 4743 students, 282 undergraduates and 22 doctoral students. 988 applicants won educational grants. This is 152 more than in the previous year. As part of the Serpin project, 124 students from Mangistau, Turkestan, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl and Almaty regions received a grants for studying in Zhubanov University.

In the 2018-2019 academic year, Zhubanov University chose 834 applicants from far and near abroad. Among them are citizens of the People’s Republic of China, the Russian Federation, Mongolia and Uzbekistan. Moreover, representatives of the Kazakh diaspora in abroad receive free education in full-time department at the university.

This year, bold steps were taken in the development of the educational process of the university:

The university has opened the Higher College, where 381 students study in 12 specialties;

in order to develop programs on academic mobility and double-diploma education, the scope of international relations has been expanded, and the invitation of foreign scholars has expanded the scope of international cooperation;

the issues on the implementation of programs on academic mobility and double-diploma education, improving the quality of teaching staff, strengthening work in the scientific field, innovative technology park, digital university, university material and technical base, as well as links with production, grants and discounts and also providing hostels for students were considered;

Organization of the events in the framework of the Message of the President and the Year of Youth. Among them: the overhaul of the Palace of Youth, the first and second student dormitory. In the Youth Palace, there will be a cinema, fitness, a hall of choreography, music, exhibitions, a meeting room for 250 seats “Mangіlik el” and more. And also the opening of a specialized dissertation council for the transition of the university to a non-profit joint-stock company in accordance with the strategic plan, the striving for the status of a national university, the commissioning of the 70 apartment house for young scientists, the opening of the “Aktobe aktangerlery” alley within the “Great names of the great steppe”;

opening of the joint-stock company “Kazakhstan-Aktobe” TV studio “Aktobe-Zhubanov” in the educational building on Y. Altynsarin street;

the project leader-lecturer, where real leadership teams will visit our audiences and hold lectures and master classes. Among them will be well-known representatives of the fields of science and art, economics and business, law, linguistics and culture;

the development of the direction of retraining, training, advanced training of working specialties. The Institute of Continuing Education and the technical faculty of the university will primarily deal with the implementation of this project.

Zhubanov University takes a course in a new direction. Our corporate culture, academic life, management and organizational service will evolve in a modern direction. To this end, we are planning new tasks for the development of personnel, structural composition and strategic plan. A student who dreams of high-quality student life should actively participate in the development of the life of the university and society as a whole!
